INCI: Phenyl Trimethicone (and) Silicone Quaternium-17 (and) Laureth-4

Description

KCC Beauty have a long history of excellence in the manufacture of silicone emulsions, and this product is a prime example of this pedigree coming to the fore. SeraShine EM 501C is a clear micro co-emulsion of phenyl trimethicone and silicone quaternium-17.  Phenyl Trimethicone has a high refractive index, and so adds gloss to the hair, however its substantivity is limited.  Silicone Quaternium-17 is a cationic polymer which is very substantive to the hair, particularly when it is damaged.  The combination of these two silicones offers excellent deposition of phenyl trimethicone on the hair, enhancing gloss and giving softness to the abraded hair cuticle.  The silicone quaternium offers excellent conditioning of damaged, dry and coloured hair. These effects can be seen at addition levels of between 1.5 – 4% in clear shampoo and intensive conditioner formulations.

Recommended usage level 1.5-4.0%
